The goal is to help each believer grow in stature to where he or she shall become as a vessel that is able to manifest the Kingdom of God in the earth realm. Equipping happens through time spent in worship, prayer, Word study, and training. The believer shall learn to trust in God and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit in all life experiences and service to others, bearing the fruit of love, peace, and joy as the outworking of a personal relationship with the Lord.
Jesus taught that His Body is to "be one" (John 17-21).
Signs and wonders in the life of the Church (also, "Bride") are seen as evidence that the gospel has been fully preached (Romans 15:18,19).
This is the pattern modeled by Jesus who preached and taught and then healed the sick and delivered the oppressed (Matthew 4:23)
It was the pattern of the early Church (Acts 4:14-31)
And is the pattern for today (Mark 16:19,20)
