Bethesda, according to biblical record, is the place the sick and wounded came and awaited a stirring of the waters in the pool that brought about supernatural healing. Biblical Bethesda offered a waiting place. A great multitude of folk who were paralyzed and crippled, blind, and had all manner of illnesses gathered there. In their waiting, their hope was to be freed from disease and oppression. Bethesda means "House of Mercy" or "The Flowing Water." It was at Bethesda that Jesus healed a paralyzed man and told him, "Rise, take up your bed, and walk." (John 5:2-9)
The above inspired our modern-day Bethesda which is about doing the good works of the Father for faith without works is dead. (James 2:17)
Guests are treated courteously and kindly, and are provided an environment that will grant relaxation and peacefulness.
